Parade Participants are invited to compete in the Union Mutual July 3rd Parade Competition. Competitors are challenged to create patriotic floats, costumes, decorations that wow the crowd. Show off your artistic and performance talents through music, dancing, puppeteers, clowns, cyclist, gymnasts -- whatever your talent, we want to see it! Two $500 prizes will be award: The Judge’s Choice and the People’s Choice.
The July 3rd Parade, powered by VSECU, starts at the Spring Street roundabout, travels down Main Street and State Street in front of the State House, ending near 133 State Sreet. Parade viewing is best on Main Street and State Street. This year vendors will be located on the DMV side of State Street only. Parade viewing will be great from the State House side of the street.
